@Rohit

I like your upset call for the Nuggets. There's always that bandwagon pick (last year, the Lebrons, the year before, the Chris Pauls) that fades out before the NBA Finals. As a member of the Nuggets bandwagon -- I agree with the Phoenix, Denver could easily win it all behind the 'Melo-Chauncey-Karl triumvirate -- I realize that Denver could be a huge disappointment in late May. After all, George Karl is coaching the team.

I think we can pencil in the Cavaliers and the Lakers into an entertaining 7 game series this June in the NBA Finals, with the Lakers coming out on top. Can we petition the NBA, NBA TV, or whomever is in charge to dub this series the Puppet Show? While I agree that the Denver Nuggets also have a very good shot to come out of the Western Conference, ask your self this: do you really trust Carmello's side kicks, J.R. Smith, the Birdman, and Kenyon Martin? I don't. Somehow, someway, George Karl teams find a way to shoot themselves in the foot come playoff time, even when they have the higher playoff seed. I am calling it right now, but look for the Thunder to pull either the first or second round upset on the Nuggets; that is of course, the San Antonio Spurs don't pull of the job themselves. Now onto the Eastern Conference where the LeBrons should be able to waltz passed an aging/fading Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic.

Like you I have no faith in the Hawks, as I do not trust Mike Bibby and Jamal Crawford to step up their games in crunch time. Joe Johnson, Jr. Smith, and Al Horford can only take that team so far. I have absolutely no worries about this year's Orlando Magic for the following reasons: a) No Hedo to break down that Cleveland defense; b) no Courtney Lee to take smart jump shots, consistently fly to the rim, and play help defense on the perimeter; c) no Rafer Alston. As much as I like Jameer Nelson and Rashard Lewis, if you watched the final 8 minutes of the Cavs Magic game two weeks ago, you will notice that those two played 2 on 5 down the stretch and their play/shot selection would have cost them the game had LeBron not tried to be a three point shooting hero when all he needed to do was attack the basket and go to the free throw line. I have no faith and trust in Vince Carter, as he spent most of his career being the alpha dog on mediocre/low seeded playoff teams where he dogged it on defense and took too many bad 3's instead using his god given ability to attack the rim on a more consistent basis.

I still think Kaeding gets the first and second blame (if that's possible) for this loss. If he makes the two attempts from within 40 yards -- something that he was money at when the games didn't mean as much -- the Chargers survive it 20-17 and all is well in America's Finest City. Kickers can't kill you and no coach should be fired when his place kicker shits the bed. That is all.

I agree with most of the comments. Well written. I agree with the celebrations, let them have a little fun if they don't taunt. Not sure about the 18 game issue or about playing a game or two in Toronto or London. NFL network tends to get crap games. Having just learned my cable system picked it up I thought I would watch it a lot, guess what I have barely seen it. As big a fan as I am (that is where Jack of all Trades acquired his love for the game!)you can OD on it, especially if your team had a bad game on Sunday.

Should point out that while Tagliabue did a good job, the real pioneer was Pete Rozelle who put the NFL on the map with great TV exposure.

Agreed. Hard to imagine a worse 3 days for an Eagles/Dodgers fan. If only Broxton's pitches moved a little.
