A big part of what makes the NFL so great is that there are only 16 regular season games, which is why sports bars get mobbed every week for that one time for fans to cheer on their team, and even the lousiest teams usually sell out every home game (there are only 8 home games out of 365 days, in some cases 7 because of the ridiculous idea of having games overseas that no one here watches and striping the designated home team of that home game and costing that team and city millions of dollars and cheating the home fans). In light of the leap the NFL has take over "America's Pastime," perhaps Major League Baseball could benefit from a shorter schedule. It should be interesting this season to see how tv ratings and attendance fare because of the weak economy and circus that continues to be the "Steroids Cloud."
